Walkers, skaters, and bike riders can follow the paved trail to Tahoe City and beyond as it parallels the Truckee River, or head west into Squaw Valley for food and entertainment. A paved trail starts just a few miles south of the campground at the entrance to Squaw Valley. Visitors enjoy the area for its bike riding and hiking opportunities, as well as its proximity to Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley.
